ORO CHAMBER to host MINDANAO BUSINESS CONFERENCE

The country’s first Hall of Fame Most Outstanding Chamber of Commerce—the ORO CHAMBER, will play host to the 19^th Mindanao Business Conference (MINBIZCON).

The MINBIZCON is the biggest gathering of Mindanao leaders, businessmen, chief executives of the different local government units, government organizations as well as non-government organizations to address several issues and concerns affecting the island’s socio-economic conditions.  

This year’s MINBIZCON here in our city will be more meaningful and productive.    Various groups already pledged to support the event.  

The conference topics will revolve around a timely and distinctive subject on how to maximize Mindanao’s potentials.  An Officer of the Oro Chamber said that they are already brainstorming on the main activities of the MINBIZCON which will be the major come-ons for the participation of all stakeholders.

Oro Chamber Past President and 19^th MINBIZCON Chairman Ruben Vegafria told this paper that GEM-USAID will help the OroChamber to gather policy issues and formulate action plans to address the latter.  Such will then be packaged as the Mindanao Policy Agenda which will be presented to the new President of the Republic of the Philippines in September for appropriate action.
