ORO CHAMBER and COC-PHINMA to give study grants to members

ORO CHAMBER and COC-PHINMA to give study grants to members
“It’s enrollment time and we have to enable more families to send their children to school,” said Oro Chamber Vice President for the Business Support Organization (BSO) Sector Engr. Raymundo P. Reyes.
In making education more affordable to deserving students, Oro Chamber in partnership with COC-Phinma will be giving out school vouchers with 50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees in basic education (elementary and high school) for school year 2010-2011.
Oro Chamber member companies in good standing will receive one voucher each which they can readily award to qualified employee-dependents.
Member companies have to ensure that the school voucher recipients demonstrate good performance in school, with an average grade of 82%, and belong to a family of meager income.

“We thought of this as the Chamber’s way of helping members help their employees to survive the difficulties caused by last year’s financial crisis and this year’s power problem,” Engr. Reyes added.
More chamber activities empowering the region’s youth especially on information and communications technologies will be unveiled starting end of June.
