RP stocks retreat as investors pocket gains
Local stocks retreated from a record high on Wednesday as investors took advantage of mixed overnight trading in Wall Street to lock in gains.
The main-share Philippine Stock Exchange index shed 33.93 points or 0.83 percent to close at 4,054.18.
Dealers said the correction was much awaited to allow investors to pocket gains following the local market's winning for the past three weeks.
